Twilight- Amazing book; I cried at the end when she went to the vampire to save her mom. I loved imagining Edward and Bella together. I didn't want it to end, and at the end I couldn't stop reading, i wanted to know what was going to happen. 

New Moon- Because of the fact that Twilight was a really good book, I kept reading. If i didn't like twilight as much as i did, i would've just skipped the middle and go straight to the end. There were a couple of big things that happened here and there [Jacob turning into a werewolf which i predicted before you were supposed to, Alice coming to Forks] but the rest of it was just Bella complaining about the hole in her chest. It was ok at first but she wouldn't stop! If Meyer had just cut the complaining shorter it would've been a lot better. I found myself skimming through some of the pages and I would fall asleep when i read the book. Only when Alice came, i predicted that something bad was going to happen [& of course it did] so i started paying more attention. The whole book, Jacob was a nice character but when Alice came I couldn't wait till he left. It was so annoying. I hated the fact that Jacob was now a werewolf [Though it did make the story a lot more interesting]. However, when Bella had just a minute to save Edward I was so into the story, I was just as confused as Bella waiting for her to slam into Edward. However [This was the most predictable part of the story], I knew they weren't safe.

New Moon had its really interesting parts, but most of it was just Bella complaining about the hole Edward left in her chest.

If you were a Twilight fanatic I would read this book, but if you aren't I wouldn't because all the things you really need to know is Jacob is now a werewolf, enemy of the vampires, Bella was a lot closer to Jacob now, Bella and Edward love each other even more then before, & Bella might become a Vampire.

Whew!  I finished it!  Now on to the next one...

New Moon wasn't quite as good as Twilight, largely because I got irritated with Bella for ever believing Edward didn't love her and for not figuring out MUCH sooner what was going on with Jacob.  But it was still an engrossing, fast-paced, couldn't-put-it-down read.  Obviously the second in a series, since the end of the book left so many things unfinished.

I think my most favorite part of the novel was the way Stephenie Meyer showed the passage of time in the months after the Cullens left.  I really felt and understood Bella's pain, even as I disagreed with her logic and actions.
