Abstract:
Shows how habitual movement patterns and emotional factors lead to unhealthy posture. Mary Bond's book gracefully articulates techniques to access and re-structure posture in a manner that deeply informs us about ourselves. It offers a doorway to deep process, yet remains grounded in anatomy & physiology. The author's attunement to the respect and accuracy with which a body needs to be approached is apparent in the book's elegant organization as well as in the care of its language. I teach Dancemeditation and this is one of my favorite resource books, not only for information about the body but for movement meditation itself.
