Brief segments from interviews with Cecilia Vega, director of Festival Latino, and playwright Charles Gomez. Brief footage of producer Joseph Papp speaking at the Festival Latino press conference on July 11. Brief performance footage. In Spanish.
Segment two: New York International Festival of the Arts, aired WNET, Channel 13, June 10, 1988. Special series reporting on the events of the first annual New York International Festival of the Arts. This segment highlights theater, focusing on the Ensemble Studio Theater, La MaMa E.T.C. (a/k/a La Mama Experimental Theatre Club), and the Public Theater. Interview segments with Curt Dempster, founder Ensemble; Ellen Stewart, founder of La MaMa; Joseph Papp, founder of the Public; and Martha Clarke, creator of the performance piece Miracolo d'amore.
