Segment one: The today show, aired Channel 4, May 25, 1988, 7:00 a.m. Jane Pauley interviews actors Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller about their respective roles in Romeo and Juliet and Much ado about nothing at the New York Shakespeare Festival.
Segment two: 1988 Tony awards, aired Channel 2, June 5, 1988, 9:00 p.m. Announcement of the nominees for best featured actress in a play, including Kate Nelligan for Caryl Churchill's play Serious money, which first ran off-Broadway at the Public Theater and was produced on Broadway by the New York Shakespeare Festival and Joseph Papp.
Segment three: Channel two news, aired June 8, 1988, 5:00 p.m. Jill Rappaport reports on the memorial for actor George Rose at the Shubert Theater. Brief footage of the memorial, including a song by actor Maureen McGovern and a speech by actor Jack Gilford. Brief segment from interview with actor Howard McGillin.

Brief segment from interview with Joseph Papp, who speaks about the New York Shakespeare Festival's Shakespeare Marathon, in which the entire canon is to be performed in six years by famous American actors. Performance footage, including Nixon, Peter MacNichol (Romeo), Anne Meara (Nurse), Milo O'Shea (Friar Lawrence), and Courtney B. Vance (Mercutio).

Segment eight: News, aired WXTV, Channel 41, Spanish International Network, June 29, 1988, 6:00 p.m. Review of The death of Garcia Lorca. Includes brief segments from interviews with director Carlos Gimenez and translator Julio Marzan. Performance footage, including Bernard White (Federico Garcia Lorca). In Spanish. Poor visual quality.
Segment nine: CBS this morning, aired Channel 2, July 5, 1988, 7:00 a.m. Harry Smith reports on the production of Much ado about nothing at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Segments from interview with actor Kevin Kline (Benedick). Brief segments from interview with actor Phoebe Cates (Hero). Kline discusses the production, and also his disappointment with the reception of his film Cry freedom. Brief footage of Kline and Denzel Washington in Cry freedom, as well as footage from some of Kline's other films.
