Muhammad] and other members of the Muslim sect. It is also one of the few times the Black Muslims have spoken to the media."--1976 Peabody Digest.

Tom Snyder introduces and narrates each segment. Using photographs, archival footage, and interviews, this series looks at specific aspects of the Nation of Islam in the wake of the death of Elijah Muhhamad in 1975. Examines the history of the Nation and the transition in leadership to Wallace D. Muhammad, son of Elijah Muhammad. The changing rights of women in the Nation and the admission of whites into the church are explored. The lives of Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali are also profiled.
