Notes: Translation of: Histoire des arbres forestiers de l'Amerique septentrionale ... Paris, 1810-1813. "N. For the translation of the present half volume, I am indebted to my friend Augustus L. Hillhouse, of Connecticut. F.A.M."--V. 1, p. [269].
Vol. 2 published in 1818; v. 3 in 1819. The volumes themselves were evidently issued in parts. A leaf listing the plates in the first part of v. 2 was evidently intended to be replaced by the list of plates for the entire volume, but is present in the American Antiquarian Society copy.
Vol. 1: [4], xii, 268, [2] p., 50 leaves of plates; v. 2: [4], 116, [3], 118-250 p., 51-100, [1] leaves of plates; v. 3: [4], 82, [3], 84-194, [3], 196-285, [1] p., 101-156 leaves of plates.
