Abstract:

In a small studio in the Village, Manhattan, a writer thinks about his new novel. He wants to write a simple love story: the love story of Alejandra and Fernández. But as he writes, the novel becomes also the story of a cent--a coin that causes the first encounter of the lovers. The writer lives at the end of the past century, between 1997 and 1999. Alejandra and Fernández meet in La Lima (Honduras) in 1960. The novel tells about their love, children, and about the construction of an ark, until 1998, where their relationship reaches its end.
