Abstract:
Official Secrets: Hacker is horrified to discover he's been totally trashed in the former Prime Minister's new memoirs. But things get worse when word leaks out that he tried to suppress the book's publication. A Diplomatic incident: The sudden death of the former PM and his less than flattering memoirs, gives Hacker an opportunity to host a state occasion-- and regain his reputation. A conflict of interest: Rumors of another city scandal could turn Prime Minister's headlines from bad to worse ... unless Sir Humphrey can get the PM to appoint the "right" man to head up the Bank of England--even if he isn't the best man.
