Summary:	Ohio wills and estates to 1850: an index is the culmination of a ten-year project to provide a comprehensive index to the probate records in Ohio. Probate Court was formed in 1852, taking over those functions of the Common Pleas Court which had previously been handled by that office. In most Ohio counties, the records were transferred to the new court, but in a few counties the original probate matters have remained in the Common Pleas Court records.  Read more...
