"An Open Garden" is a book which colourfully details the experience of opening a garden for public inspection and describes the many different areas of preparation required. It also describes the authors experience of visiting other gardens and how that influenced preparation. There are very few books which address this topic in any detail, which is surprising considering the size of the "open gardens' andgardenb visiting movement in countrie arou d the world.
Ths book is held in Austraian libraries including the Melbourne botanical gardens, The Solander library of the Sydney Botanical gardens, the Lindley library of RHS, Kew gardens Library and the library of the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard
