Abstract:
Interview conducted for Dorothy Day : portraits by those who knew her. Dorothy Gauchat, co-founder of Our Lady of the Wayside in Avon, Ohio with her husband Bill, discusses Dorothy Day and her experiences in the Catholic Worker Movement. She discusses how she first met Day and how Day would occasionally refer women to the Gauchats' house. She also talks about Dorothy's death and attending her funeral, and reflects on Day's personality. Interviewed by Rosalie G. Riegle. Interruptions in audio present in original recording.
