Quartet singer Gordon Stoker, member of the Jordanaires, recalls the Nashville music industry during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Discussion includes his educational background; performing on WLAC during the late 1940s; working as a member of the Daniel Quartet; Wally Fowler's All Night Sing gospel show; the original Jordanaires; joining the Jordanaires in 1949 and his move from piano player to tenor; memories of Hank Williams; memories of Fred Rose; working on the Grand Ole Opry; working in the recording studio; and the Anita Kerr Singers.
