Movie executive John Lasseter talks the parallels between the Country Music Hall of Fame's (CMHOF) work and his own work at Pixar. Lasseter had been a recent visitor to the CMHOF. Discussion includes the development of the Woody character for Toy Story 2; the role of Toy Story 2 in preserving western themes and music; comments on the resources at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum; his approach to creativity and the goal of connecting with the audience; and the role of the familiar in creating entertainment.
