Abstract:

Interview conducted for Voices from the Catholic Worker. Catholic Worker Lloyd Friedrich discusses his experiences working in the Davenport Catholic Worker community. He talks about what brought him to the community and gives some of his background, including three years spent at a seminary in Leuven, Belgium. He discusses some of the frustrations that come with working in a Catholic Worker house, including being understaffed and dealing with unruly guests. Finally, he discusses the Catholic Worker Movement and the American perception of it. Interviewed by Rosalie Riegle Troester. At the end of the tape Troester gives her thoughts on the house and her interactions with other members of the community. Interruptions in audio present in original recording.
