The Origins of Chemistry

by cddavis (WorldCat user published 2013-03-28) Excellent Permalink

This is an excellent book, though it is a little outdated(1967) in the modern scientific and archaeological realm Multhauf gives a uniquely clear depiction of the inter-connection of religion and observation that formed early physics and proto-chemistry.
