Abstract:

Secretary Principi introduces a topic at the top of VA's priority list: giving proper attention to those returning wounded or sick from Iraq and Afghanistan. Meet some of the returning servicemen and women at Walter Reed Army Medical Center whose lives have been forever altered by serious injuries sustained in Iraq. Also meet representatives from VBA and VHA who are on site and working with DoD to ensure that each patient's transition from injured soldier to recovering veteran goes as smoothly as possible.
