A collection of 101 tales, from Italian, French, and classical sources, first printed in 2 volumes, 1566-67.
Based on the privately printed edition of Joseph Haslewood in 1813, with his preliminary matter, and facsimiles of the original title-pages, 1566-67, and reproductions of those of the 2d edition, 1575.
Description: 3 volumes facsimiles 27 cm
Responsibility: done into English by William Painter; now again edited for the fourth time by Joseph Jacobs.
