Abstract:

Papers of John M. Everett, a surveyor and town official from Foxborough, Mass., including a few deeds and correspondence from members of his and his wife's families, the Barretts, in particular letters to Elizabeth M.B. Everett from her sisters. Other letters to John M. Everett were written to and from Mobile, Alabama where he lived for a while. Also, a fieldbook kept by Everett as a surveyor for the town of Foxborough and including plans and survey notes on the Foxborough school district and on the line between the old colonies of Mass. and Plymouth. The vol. also contains a list of town officials from Foxborough from 1786-1855; the constitution of the Foxboro Lyceum; and an Everett family genealogy.
