Abstract:

Collection consists of correspondence, speeches, statements, articles by or about McCulloch, photographs of her, and genealogical information. Series I includes material documenting her family life, especially letters to McCulloch from her husband written before and after their marriage.

Professional papers consist primarily of correspondence, speeches, and articles, much of which details her work in Illinois politics; of particular interest are letters (1906) from prominent Chicago businessmen in response to her inquiry regarding their views on woman suffrage, and a notebook McCulloch kept as foreman of a grand jury investigating election fraud (1940-1941).
