Abstract:
Correspondence, orders, bid requests for building construction and repairs, and other papers, relating to Lieutenant Charles A. Williams (ca. 1852-1926) as Fort Sidney's post quartermaster and his family. Includes correspondence, diary (1912), and reminiscences written by his son, Charles Laurance Williams (1881-1966), describing life at Fort Sidney, Neb., and his later correspondence documenting the attempt to contact other inhabitants during that period in order to gather more information about the fort.
