Union and editor and publisher of Hartford Courant, responses to the editorials, record of a trip to Europe under the sponsorship of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, of which he was a trustee, transcript relating to art history, information pertaining to Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H., from which he graduated and national political affairs, photos, ephemera, and other papers. Correspondents include Bernard Baruch, William E. Borah, Nicholas Butler, Calvin Coolidge, Wilbur L. Cross, Herbert Hoover, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Frederic Collin Walcott, Wendell Willkie, and numerous legislators, educators, government officials, and business executives.
