Chiefly papers relating to Denton's service as U.S. representative (1949-1953, 1955-1967), including reports, correspondence, and other papers, relating to legislation which Denton introduced relating to veterans' benefits, aid to farmers, and flood control; papers relating to trips (1962-1966) to Europe for NATO parliamentarians' conferences, and to South Pacific (1964-1966) on congressional business; correspondence, advertising, and other papers, relating to election campaigns; political speeches and statements; pocket diaries (1957-1966); and newsletters, radio broadcasts, reports, and statements, issued for constituents; together with papers (1913-1969) relating to legal cases handled by Denton and his father, George K. Denton, in Evansville, particularly suits against insurance companies for failure to pay benefits; papers relating to Denton's military service in World War I and World War II; personal financial records (1952-1961); and scrapbooks (1927-1971). Correspondents include Birch Bayh, Roger D. Branigin, Dennis Chavez, James M. Hanley, Wayne L. Hays, Estes Kefauver, John W. McCormack, George Mahon, Edmund Muskie, J. Edward Roush, and Stewart L.
