Work includes annotated typescript of Rosten's long narrative poem "The Big Road" plus related notes, drafts, clippings, maps, photos, correspondence and reviews, 1943-1946; early sketches and drafts of poems from THE PLANE AND THE SHADOW, 1943-1953; typescript of an essay "A Reminiscence and some Nostalgia," (about Brooklyn College) with photos of Rosten receiving the Distinguished Service Award at Brooklyn College, 1969; draft of play "Mister Johnson," 1954, and script for its London production, 1960; photos, ads, press releases for the film "A View From the Bridge" for which Rosten wrote the screenplay; an early, ca.1938, radio play "Death of a King;" and a letter to Norman Kiell, 1938, editor of the MICHIGAN DAILY (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), about Rosten's literary progress.
