The collection also contains audio tapes of interviews of and by Shubin.

The collection includes correspondence with the following publishers; Chilton Book Company, Ernest Benn Limited, Harcourt, Brace, and Company, J.B. Lippincott ? American Weekly.

, Bluebook, Cavalier magazine, Collier's, Detective cases, Ellery Queen Mystery magazine, Fantastique, Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Reader's digest, Saturday Evening Post, and Startling Detective Magazine. Shubin corresponded with the following writers and medical technicians; Jack Alexander, Carl T. Becker, Peter G. Bourne, Erskine Caldwell, John Carlton, Lillian Carter, Willard B. Crosby, Robert L. Custer, Glasgow Driscoll, Sanford Finkel, Andre Fontaine, Joseph H. Friedman, James Goode, William B. Hart, Harold Brainerd Hersey, Arno Karlen, Peter Mayer, Howard Moorepark, James O'Connell, Fred Roll, and J.A. Stone. Both themanuscripts and the correspondence document Shubin's professional life asa detective writer and journalist with an interest in medical issues.
