The Bell Papers are the correspondence, writings, and teaching materials of Derrick A. Bell,a legal scholar and educator. The collection represents Prof. Bell's personal and scholarly life and career from 1959 on. The correspondence series contains Prof. Bell's personal and professional correspondence through the course of his career and includes letters to and from key political, civil rights, and legal leaders of the time along with notes to family. The papers represent a wide variety of Bell's work and include speeches, unpublished manuscripts, notes to published works and Bell's views on contemporary events, usually in regards to racial issues of the day.
