Correspondence, reports, speeches, published and unpublished writings (both scientific and literary), academic records, brochures, certificates, illustration and galley proofs, art catalogs, clippings, and photographs, documenting Homburger's career as a physician involved in cancer research, his interest in art as a collector and a painter, and his service as honorary Swiss consul in Boston, Mass. Includes his letters to his parents while a student at the University of Vienna, accounts of medical treatment of artists Raoul Dufy and Jacques Lipchitz, and an autobiographical memoir entitled "Life Is a Short Story." Medical institutions and pharmaceutical firms represented include Gesell Institute of Child Development, Hoffman La Roche, Inc., Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research, Thorndike Memorial Laboratory at Boston City Hospital, U. S. Public Health Service, and Warner-Hudnut Company. Correspondents include William B. Castle, Julien D. Cornell, Mary Lasker, John W. McCormack, Florence Mahoney, George R. Minot, and Cornelius Packard Rhoads.
