Includes correspondence, memoranda, drafts of research proposals, grant applications, reports and minutes of meetings, lectures and papers (mostly between 1937 and 1977); also includes other biographical materials, including Morse's military honors, newspaper clippings, book reviews, obituaries, publication and distribution lists, and lists of holdings of Morse's personal scientific library. Includes correspondence with colleagues, editors, universities, government officials and foreign dignitaries. Also contains Morse's letters from France to his mother during World War I (1917-1919), and correspondence relating to his children.
