Abstract:
Other items are financial and legal papers, accounts, will and estate papers, plat book of Iowa lands and papers about real estate in Chautauqua County. There are also articles about Seward, a letter and memoir of friend David Berdan, diary of a European trip in 1833, speeches, photographs, pamphlets and genealogical data. Family papers include correspondence, writings, business papers, diaries, photographs and memoriabilia of his father Samuel Sweezy Seward; his wife Frances Miller Seward; his children Augustus H. Seward, Frances A. Seward, Frederick W. Seward, Olive R. Seward and William H. Seward, Jr.; and his grandson William H. Seward, III.
Included with Augustus Seward's papers are his records while U.S. Army paymaster, 1860-1871. Included with William H. Seward, Jr.'s papers is material on the 9th NY Artillery, 1862-65.
