Abstract:

What would you do if you lost control of your thoughts and actions? Conan Doyle is undoubtedly a master of intrigue and suspense, and everyone knows about his adventures of Sherlock Holmes, but what about the tale of Professor Austin Gilroy? Discover a man of science and evidence who only believes in things he can prove. He is a young, popular and successful physiologist engaged to the beautiful Agatha. He is seemingly on the fast track to a life of happiness and prosperity. His story, however, takes a dramatic turn in a single evening after he is introduced to the powerful and devious psychic, Miss Penclosa. Can the young professor overcome the mysterious force that takes hold of him? Follow along as Conan Doyle takes you through Gilroy's journals as he attempts to outwit and defeat the malicious spirit in "The Parasite."
