The Paths of the Sea dramatically shows French naval officers torn by conflicts of friendship, honor, loyalty and a nostalgia for France's colonial past. The story is set in Thailand, Africa, France and the North Atlantic which is evocative of man's struggle to control the sea, and his own destiny.
