|Notes:||Title from title screen (viewed February 25, 2009).
Martyn Poliakoff and colleagues designed the website to be a collection of video clips describing all of the 118 elements in the periodic table. Designed as a periodic table, the site has each element's symbol in a square. By clicking on the designated square, the viewer can read the element's name, symbol, atomic number, and launch a video describing the element, its properties and usage. Chemists are shown in live demonstrations in their laboratories using the various elements, many of which are too dangerous to be used in any normal classroom setting.
