|Notes:||Commentary on the prophecy of Amos by the Medieval Jewish grammarian and Biblical commentator, David Kimhi, edited by Sebastian Münster. Münster also includes a Hebrew letter addressed to him by Elias Levita, perhaps the greatest of the Hebrew grammarians of his time. Münster taught Hebrew language (and for a short time Bible) at Heidelberg and Basel Universities. Via his teaching and his textbooks, he helped to establish Hebrew and the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible as viable subjects of academic study.
