Bowra, George Kingsley Zipf, Harry Levin, Peter Viereck, Ernest Simmons, David Daiches, G. Edwin Brumbaugh, Al Capp, John Crowe Ransom, Whitney Jennings Oates, and Dylan Thomas' agent John Malcolm Brinnin.

Also, Thornton Wilder, Edgar Mertner, Lois B. Hyslop, John C.B. Moore, Donald Morgan and Belva Kibler, Carl F. Schreiber, Erich Kahler, Janice Harsanyi, Louis MacNeice's agent J.M.
