Publisher's album of 12 albumen prints mounted on 16.1 x 22.3 cm. card stock with decorative frames and captions printed in red.
Conjectural date based on overall impression of photographs (including the Albert Memorial, completed in 1872; street signs include districts, e.g. "EC") and binding; possibly early 1880s, before publisher changed name to London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company.
Bound in blue cloth with bevelled edges; front cover with border, corner pieces, title, and floral vignette in gold; border and corner pieces repeated in blind on back cover; brown coated endpapers.
Brown University also has similar album, in red cloth, consisting of 25 photographs, some evidently taken from the same vantage points a few mintes later or earlier.
