The photographs were selected by Harry Callahan and reproduced in 300 line screen offset on Warren's Offset Enamel by The Meriden Gravure Company. The text was handset and printed letterpress in Bembo and Centaur by Bradley Brownell. The cover was made by The S.K. Smith Company and the book was bound by the Santa Barbara Bindery.
