This picture book style biography tells the story of how Art Tatum became a famous jazz piano player.  His eye sight was very poor as a boy and became worse as he grew older.  He would listen to music on the radio and pick it out on the piano. The older he became the more his skill at playing jazz piano improved until he was well known as a great jazz pianist.  He played anytime he could and just about any place including bars.  The water color illustrations give it a jazz feeling.  A good book to add to your biography collection.
