|Notes:||See Brooks 744 of which this copy is a variant with a dedication to "Napoleone Bonaparte" by Bodoni inserted before the t.p. of pt. 1, and with 34 plates (the first engraved in black, the rest in red)--preceded by an engraved half-title hand painted in brown.
The plates, drawn from Correggio's frescoes by Francisco Vieira and engraved by Francesco Rosaspina, are preceded by G.G. De Rossi's "Descrizione" and by a French and a Spanish translation of it. Each of these description has special t.p. and individual pagination.
Full paneled calf; gilt borders and spine; gilt edges.
