Abstract:
Subject: Image of the Pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock. At center, Miles Standish is stepping on the rock and helping his wife, Rose Standish out of the rowboat. Those in the rowboat include, from right to left, William Bradford, John Carver, Isaac Allerton, Edward Winslow, Mary Norris Allerton and Mary Allerton. Stephen Hopkins is seen behind Miles Standish, kneeling on the ground and holding the rope. Seen standing in the water pulling a rope is John Howland. Elder Brewster stands at right, his arms crossed. Seen to the right of Brewster are Mrs. White and her newborn daughter Peregrine, as well as Mary Chilton. In the distance at left, the Mayflower is seen in the ocean.
