Script: Written in cursive Anglicana; marginalia from 15th and 16th centuries throughout.
Decoration: Rubricated initials, underlining, and paragraph marks throughout. Highly elaborated manicule at 96v.
Binding: Bound in calf, late 18th or early 19th century.
Origin: Marginal glosses would suggest that this manuscript either was copied or arrived at a very early date at Furness Abbey, a major Cistercian monastery in Cumbria.

Provenance: 1. Furness Abbey, as per underlining at 158v and marginal glosses throughout -- 2. Front paste-down signed "Powis" in 19th-century hand, indicating possession of Powis Castle -- 3.
