Abstract:

The purpose of the project was to capture irreplaceable testimonies about the World War II incarceration and preserve these testimonies for the education of future generations. 12 Nisei were selected to be interviewed for in-depth life history. The completed interviews were video-recorded in high definition. Each interview was digitally preserved, transcribed, indexed, and web-hosted. The 12 interviews have been added to the Densho Visual History collection.
