The civilizing forces of arts and cultural understanding are our best tools for waging peace... Founder, Dr. Walter A. Fairservis, Jr. (1921 - 1994)
As a co-founder and artistic director of East-West Fusion Theatre from 1983 to 2000, I am hunting for information about the history and philosophy of the theatre company. I would welcome hearing from anyone who may remember anything about the company. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A program of the registered non-profit Kings & Couriers Theatre Company, Inc., we produced summer seasons in Sharon, Connecticut and toured throughout the U.S., as well as performed in Canada, Japan, and at the (Outer) Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Working with artists and scholars from Asia, the U.S., the U.K., and elsewhere, the theatre produced about 5 plays per year and an average of about 50 performances on tour.
The aim of the theatre was to create "new international theatre" reflective of our increasingly multicultural times.
