Abstract:

"This book tells all about military psychology. It is prepared from manuscripts written by experts, but it has been rewritten in popular form without sacrifice of its scientific accuracy. What it says is as true as scientists can make it today. Military psychology is, however, a very broad field. This book starts in with the psychology of the proper uses of your sense-organs in war--your eyes, your ears, your nose, your organs of balance. It tells about the aptitudes and abilities of soldiers for the many jobs to which the Army may assign them, and how soldiers actually are assigned to different jobs. It discusses efficiency, both physical and psychological. It tells about morale and emotion, about the effects and control of fear and anger, about how men's motives help them or hurt them as soldiers. It discusses leadership, panic, rumor, propaganda, psychological warware"--Book. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved).
