Abstract:

Concluding his answer to a question on the unemployment problem, Kennedy stresses the need for passage of the Area Redevelopment Bill. Kennedy explains why federal support for teachers' salaries would not lead to federal control over education. In response to a question quoting Richard Nixon's statement that the Democratic platform would cost several billion dollars and result in higher taxes, Kennedy discusses balanced budgets and the federal deficit.
