Records of the West Point Foundry and papers of Gouverneur Kemble and the Kemble family, including correspondence, accounts, drawings, deeds, promissory notes, agreements, estate papers, and other miscellaneous items. Business correspondence concerns jobs, products, iron supply, orders, patents, ordnance matters, and use of Irish workers; other correspondence concerns estate matters, politics, and family affairs and includes a series of letters to Gouverneur Kemble from Phillip Arthur Reilly, 1835-1840, relating to Whigs, abolition, his position as Navy Chaplain, and Irish Catholics. Other items include letters, statements, and accounts of Robert B. Parrott concerning ordnance and the production of his Parrott guns during the Civil War, 1860s; a three-volume historic landscape report on the West Point Foundry site by Ralph Brill Associates, 1979, which includes photographs, maps, drawings, and prints; and miscellaneous research correspondence, clippings, photographs, and other materials relating to the history of the Foundry.
