Abstract:

Correspondence, advertisements, articles, clippings, and promotional and supplementary materials regarding the National League for Medical Freedom, an organization founded by B.O. (Benjamin Orange) Flower and others to lobby against compulsory vaccination, vivisection, public health services, and allopathic medicine in general.

The League had several state affiliates which lobbied against "compulsory" or "state" medicine in their respective states, as well as against national food and drug legislation. The League published a magazine, MEDICAL FREEDOM, and also publicized its cause in other periodicals such as TWENTIETH CENTURY MAGAZINE, which was edited by B.O. Flower.
