Topics include the activities of the campaign, particularly its political involvement in the presidential and congressional elections of 1984; American and international groups centered around or incorporating the freeze issue as part of their overall agendas; and the varying emphasis within the nuclear freeze movement on such aspects as the effects of nuclear war, the danger of a "limited" nuclear war, and the economic effects of the arm race. Organizations represented include Citizens Against Nuclear War, Common Cause, Council for a Liveable World, Federation of American Scientists, Ground Zero, Physicians for Social Responsibility, SANE, Sojourners, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Women's Initiative Project, Dutch Inter-Church Peace Council (Interkerkelijk Vredesberaad), and European Nuclear Disarmament.
