Abstract:
Records include correspondence and other files relating to the administration and programs of the Institute of Government, including a number of files, 1928-1932, documenting Albert Coates's plans for the Institute and his efforts to gain support for it. The records include a series of forty interviews conducted in 1972 with educators and state officials on the reorganization of higher education in North Carolina.
