Abstract:
Correspondence, accounts, legal papers, petitions, muster rolls, and related records documenting many aspects of the superintendency's administration of the Dakota, Ojibwe, and Winnebago tribes within its jurisdiction, which included present-day Minnesota and eastern North and South Dakota. It was served by the St. Peter's Agency near Fort Snelling and the Winnebago and Chippewa agencies in central Minnesota.
