Abstract:

Records of organizations of the party proper, and of related organizations (classified by the party itself as "formations," "affiliated associations," and "supervised organizations"), 1928-1945, dealing with intraparty operations on the national, regional, and local levels, and documenting the NSDAP's permeation of public and nonpublic institutions.

Reel 1: Inordnungen des Leiters der Partei-Kanzlei (Martin Bormann), 1943-1945, dealing with various subjects, including the Reichserbeitsdienst; Nazi officials in territory overrun by the Allies; PW administration; morale; attitude toward Poles; transportation; administration; Party archives; Polish resistance movement; report by Kreisleitung Waldshut; Geiheime Kriminalstatistik, 1942-1943.

Reel 60: Contains Folders 5, 8, 12, 14, and 19. Folder 5: File of Landesverband bayerischer Referendare, 1929-1932, in various internal problems and relations with the Reichsbund deutscher Referendare; Folder 8: Protests of the Landesverband bayerischer Referendare against a proposal of the Deutsche Anwaltverein of 4 Dec. 1932 prohibiting entrance to the legal profession for three years and setting a quota for entrance thereafter; Folder 12: Landesverband Bayern of the Bund Deutscher Justizamtmänner on requests for grants from the Rückert-Purzer-Stiftung, a fund for the relief of individuals in serious financial need, 1928-1931 (documents the problems of impoverished German lower middle class in the inter-war years); Folder 14: Manuscript by Oswald Bendemann, "Entwurf einer typologieder geistigen Urformen," Berlin, 1932; Folder 19: Manuscript by Oswald Bendemann, "Lebensganzheit und voelkische Ganzheit," Heidelberg, 1937.

Reel 90: Contains Folders 4 and 6. Folder 4: From a Gaustudentenführung Baden folder on the NS.-Altherrenbund, 1942-1943; Folder 6: From a folder of the Gaustudentenführung Baden, 1942-1943, on the reorganization of the NS.-Altherrenbund, a sample showing how each local was handled.

Reel 164: Contains Folders 104 and 105. Folder 104: Probably from the files of the Gaustabsamt, but perhaps partly from the files of the Gaumebilisationsheauftragte, dealing with air raids and related problems, 1942-1944; Folder 105: From Gaustabsamt, reports of the Kreise on the political and morale situation and the activities of the churches in each Kreis for Oct. 1944. Evidence in the folder of how these reports were altered at the Gau level before being sent on to the Partei-Kanzlei, Abt. II B 4, as part of the regular report of the Gau.
