Included are membership cards, licenses, and certificates belonging to Mark L. Reed (1902-1944), documenting his various affiliations with civic groups and fraternal organizations, as well as his work in the aviation industry, both as a pilot and as an investor. Also included are materials related to Mark L. Reed's death in 1944 from injuries sustained in a plane crash. There are also military documents from Joseph Lucius Reed's service in World War I, documents relating to Edith Alicia Murphy Reed's career as an elementary school teacher, and certificates and clippings documenting the childhood and education of Mark L. Reed (1935- ). Papers related to Samuel J.
